EVA8000 performance
Hi all
I have a question here. how can i monitor the performance of eva8000?I use dd for database migration, but sometimes it reach 200MB/hour ,sometimes it is only 40MB/hour?anyone can give me a suggestion to find out if it is the reason of other machine use eva8000?
I need the real data to prove it.
thanks for your time

Re: EVA8000 performance
Check to see if you have EVAPerf on your management station:
C:\PROGRA~1\Hewlett-Packard\EVA Performance Monitor>evaperf
That will show you all the flags you can do. Everything from physical disks, controllers to vdisks.

Re: EVA8000 performance
Hi okyour,
Install EVAperf in your management station, which will give you the graphical representation of read & writes and effective load. It is an effective tool for EVA performance analysis.
Thanks and regards
V.Manoharan

Re: EVA8000 performance
Your performance in MB/s very much depends on things like
- number of disks of the disk group your source and target LUNs reside
- IO size (8kB ... 512kB)
- IO capability of your server doing the dd
- other workload on this server and the EVA
With EVAPerf you can really see the various EVA performance metrics.
I suggest you have a look at the Command View User Guide in the Performance section 6

Cheers
