Expand array

I was running 3 x 18 Gig drives in a raid 5 configuration and needed more space so added another 18 Gig drive. However, the Compaq drive configuration shows the additional drive, but the NT disk administrator does not. The extra space that I needed seems to have disappeared! What have I done wrong. I added the extra drive, expanded the array, waited three hours for it to expand the array, and nothing. Any help would be much appreciated.

PS. Insight manager see's the additional space, but Explorer does not.

I have exactly the same problem, Proliant 1600 + 4354R RAID Box, SA5300 + 7 x 36.4GB Ultra3 in RAID 5 configuration - add 1 x 36.4GB - using SA5300 Manual Instructions, Insight Mgr sees the extra space but NT4(SP6a) Disk Administrator thinks the extra space is a volume set !!!, NT Explorer does not see extra space, tried this twice, same results. Proliant 1600 has the latest of everything - firmware, NT drivers, SA5300 has v1.76 firmware. Boot controller is a Smart Array 2DH. We bought the SA5300 on the basis that you could expand arrays like this - what am I doing wrong ?
