Extend Logical Drive in 2k - Dynamic Disk Only?
I am installing 2 additional hard drives in my Windows 2000 server - I have a 7000 server with a 4200 controller (version 4.44) I get the nice little yellow screen warning me about Windows 2000. My question is this - I'm NOT using dynamic disk (who would?), so does this apply to me? Am I correct in assuming that the issue expanding a logical drive in 2000 is due to dynamic disk conflicting with the controller, and since I have no dynamic disks, my system should be no different than if I were running NT. And if this is the case, shouldn't Compaq be a little more specific in their advisory? I spoke to tech support last night, and they were vague in thier answer - they said it would corrupt the drives if you expand them on Windows 2000. I think this warrants some clarification. Any help would be appreciated.
