FC10 Controller Error
Now we're getting a daily email from EMS as follows, but if you go into xstm the log report is not showing any errors so the controller/s is not actually producing any errors although EMS is reporting an error.
Has anyone seen this before? Can this be an EMS issue?
Thanks,
Dennis Raesner

Re: FC10 Controller Error
1) There actually is a hardware flaw on the array.
2) There is no LUN0 assigned on the array and the disk array itself is being misdectected as a disk. Since its not a disk, it has disk errors.
Solutions:
1) Resolve the hardware issue(not likely there is one)
2) Assign a LUN on the array to LUN0
3) Ignore the error, if I'm right its not serious.

Re: FC10 Controller Error
Controller will have a fail LED .
See if its glowing .
If LED is lit then you have to call HP support.
Thanks,
BL.

Re: FC10 Controller Error
Why would you want to assign a LUN on the array to LUN0 in this case. This is a HP FC10 fibre channel JBOD with 10 disks - not a SAN?
Any other ideas?
Thanks,
Dennis Raesner

1) Resolve the hardware issue(not likely there is one)
2) Assign a LUN on the array to LUN0
