I'm trying to configure an FC60 with 2 SC10 on the server, but it seems that there are somo possible erros since I'm unable to see all the 20 disks at the OS level.

Re: FC60 configuration and errors

was this fc60 array working before or it is newly re-connected? it looks like the luns are not configured yet. refer to some manuals here :

Re: FC60 configuration and errors

You won't see the single disks in ioscan - only configured LUNs.

Hope this helps!

Re: FC60 configuration and errors

Alex,

SAM will be your friend to configure the LUNs on the FC60 (there you will "see" the unused disks).

one word of caution: never delete LUN 0

Re: FC60 configuration and errors

Hi guys,

I can't see the "unused" disks by using SAM. Should I delete the LUNS (not the # 0) in order to see all the disks?

This isn't a new FC60, but supossedly, it was working.

Re: FC60 configuration and errors

Again, you won't see disks in "ioscan" - only LUNs!

Refer to the User Guide

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/CoreRedirect.jsp?redirectReason=DocIndexPDF&prodSeriesId=33695&targetPage=http%3A%2F%2Fh20000.www2.hp.com%2Fbc%2Fdocs%2Fsupport%2FSupportManual%2Flpg28492%2Flpg28492.pdf

Hope this helps!

Re: FC60 configuration and errors

Hi Alex,

It was the physical setup that usually caused problems. Make sure that the disk trays (SC10's) have unique numbers. Also check that you have the cabling correct for your desired mode.

The manual is pretty good at describing the task you need to do, but as previous posts mention, if you have deleted LUN 0 then you are in real trouble.

Mike.
