Failed Disk replacement in FC60 Storage.
Dear All,
I hv replaced a disk in FC 60 storage. This disk is the part of a LUN which is a Raid 1 mirror set. (2:1 and 4:1). Now the disk replaced is 4:1.
How do I rebuild the Raid now?
Still the status of the LUN is being showed as degraded.
o/p of amdsp -d fc60 is as follows:
===================================
SCSI Channel:ID = 4:1
Enclosure = 1
Slot (0-based) = 3
Disk State = FAILED--CAUSE UNKNOWN
Disk Group and Type = 09493400263B5825D0 LUN
Capacity = 0.0 GB
Manufacturer and Model = SEAGATE ST336704LC
Serial Number = 3CD1DZRX
Firmware Revision = HP03
Please hlp.
Regds,
Dinakar.

Re: Failed Disk replacement in FC60 Storage.
Dinakar,
I assume that you have double-checked the LEDs on the disk itself and they're OK.
Then you could take the disk down, wait a minute or two and enable it again,
then check rebuild status again:
# amdsp -r ARRAY-ID
-D downs disk, -d enables it:
# amutil -D 4:1 ARRAY-ID ; sleep 120 ; amutil -d 4:1 ARRAY-ID
# amdsp -r ARRAY-ID
HTH
Regards,
Bernhard

Hello!
The Disk was faulty. Replaced the Disk and the rebuilding was completed.
Regds,
Dinakar.
