Failed drive in RAID

I'm an experienced Unix sa, but have not worked with HP UX in several years (for all practical purposes, consider me "new" to HP UX.)

I'm brand new on the job, arrive at work this morning and there's a problem with one of our servers. Detailed problem description below. I'd like to know: as the sa for this server, what I should be doing to resolve this; which commands/tools I should be running in order to track the progress; which logs (if any) I should be monitoring to troubleshoot/track progress.

Problem:

StorageWorks Command View: Status: Disk M/D10 Failed initialization

Array Status:
Warning States: Active Hot Spare Unavailable, Physical Drive Problem, Capacity Depletion, Missing Drive, Non Redundant Disk Access,

Informational States: Disk Scrubbing in Progress, Rebuild in Progress, DO NOT ADD OR REMOVE HARDWARE UNTIL REBUILD IS COMPLETE

Thank you for helping!

Re: Failed drive in RAID

Mike,

This is the bible for disk failures:

Re: Failed drive in RAID

Hmmmm, that probably wasn't very politically correct. Substitute "invaluable reference" in place of "bible", if you will, please.

Re: Failed drive in RAID

You should use the 'armdsp' command to monitor this.

# armdsp -a

or

# armdsp -a

To find the available array ids on the local host:

# armdsp -i
