I have a MSA1500cs (A/A) and need to know which disks in a four disk RAID 1+0 are mirrored. A second MSA30 was added to the MSA1500cs and I like to distribute the RAID over both enclosures (two disks in each enclosure, mirrored pairs distributed over both enclosures). IMHO there is no way to see which drives are mirrored together - or I just don't know how. :)
Thanks for advice.
Best regards,
Patrick

SolutionGet the B:T:L for the drives. More specifically, the B:T, since the L is always 0 with scsi drives.
Take the BTL and arrange in order. Start with the lowest Bus:Target. Divide the group of B:T:L in half. The first drive from each group is a mirrored pair.
Example, starting with 0:0:0, 0:1:0, 1:2:0, 2:2:0. Drive 0:0:0 and 2:2:0 will be mirrored and 0:1:0, 1:2:0 are mirrored.

Re: Find mirrored pairs in MSA1500cs
0:0:0 and 1:2:0 are mirrored
0:1:0 and 2:2:0 are mirrored.
