Firmware upgrade of FC60 with expired battery
I have an FC60 with 2 SC10 which I want to upgrade to the latest firmware. I so happen to happen to discover that the battery is overdue its replament time. My question is can I still go ahead with the upgrade and replace battery later? I am for the assumption that the battery has not effect on the fw upgrade?!!!
Don't panic

Re: Firmware upgrade of FC60 with expired battery
Hi There, the upgrade you require can only be done by an HP engineer. If you search the forum for this, all the answers are the same. It can't be done. The battery won't have any effect on the f/w and when you do replace it, you need to do a "ammgr -b " to reset the battery age to 0

Re: Firmware upgrade of FC60 with expired battery
Hi,
careful maybe you don´t need to upgrade the firmware depend the OS release you have, last firmware version does not work fine in some HP-UX VERSION
