From where can I download va7400 firmware?

Have a va7400 with HP11 firmware. would like to update to HP13 or HP14 to improve performance.

Question #1. Is there a download site?

Question #2. To which version should I upgrade?

HP13 is the only firmware listed in the Support center site.
Patch name = PF_DV74HP13
What you do is go to ..
http://us-support.external.hp.com
click on "individual patch"
click on "firmware"
check "other firmware patch"
and in the search string put "HP13" and click search.

It should show 2 firmware patches, one for VA7100 and the other for VA7400.

Or you can use ftp to download..(save target as)

Hello Bill,

an upgrade to HP13 will not improve the problem of bad performance.
For performane improvement you have to take HP14.
But in this case you will lose all your data because you have to format your disks new.

If possible wait for HP15.

From performance standpoint, it's better to wait for HP15 announcement to be scheduled next month.

HP13 is in the place where S.K. Chan mentioned.
Upgrade from HP11 to HP14 requires formatting that means you have to backup and then restore all data in the VA7400 after firmware upgrade.

Because there's no depot for HP14 on the web at this time, you have to contact HP for HP14 if you really want it.

unfortunately I 've to contradict Insu Kim.
From "performance standpoint" it doesn't matter if you install firmwarerelease HP14 or HP15.
The difference between both will be that you can upgrade to HP15 without the requirement to format the disks.

I think I'll wait for HP15.
Want the performance but don't want to reformat the drives.
