Generic SSD in MSA2040
Hi All,
We are looking at possibly purchasing some MSA 2040, we have a lot of Intel SSD 3700 series drives and wanting to know if we can use these in the MSA, or do they have to be HP Drives?
P.S. This thread has been moved from General to Disk Array. - Hp forum Moderator

Re: Generic SSD in MSA2040
Thanks for your question. I'm glad to hear that you're interested in the MSA 2040. Your Intel drives should work, but I would not recommend using them, as you will lose HP support for your add on devices. It's best to use HP drives in order to avoid taking a gamble on performance and reliability. I'm happy to get you in touch with one of our reps who can work out some cost-effective options.
