I'm new to Drive Array issues.
Before I continue by myself, I was wondering if anyone could provide some advice about this message I am receiving at boot up.
I have a Proliant ML370 G3 and a Proliant ML350 G3, running Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition, and both servers are displaying the same message at start up.
SLOT 1 HP SMART ARRAY 6400 CONTROLLER (192 MB, V1.92) 1 LOGICAL DRIVE
1794-SLOT 1 DRIVE ARRAY-ARRAY ACCELERATOR
BATTERY CHARGE LOW ARRAY ACCELERATOR POSTED-
WRITE CACHE IS TEMPORARILY DISABLED
ARRAY ACCELERATOR BATTERIES HAVE FAILED TO CHARGE AND SHOULD BE REPLACED
Any help is appreciated.

Hello,
it could be a firmware issue on the SA6400 controller. There's a customer advisory from HP:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&objectID=PSD_EX040528_CW01&jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN
There are also link on this page to download a firmware upgrade image. You can perform the "online" upgrade from Windows (requires a reboot).
If the upgrade does not help, then maybe the batteries really do need to be replaced.
Regards,
Stephen
