HP Smart Array 641

I have configured the storage devices attached to my Smart Array 641 as a RAID-5, using 2 logical drives. One drive is the local Drive C: and I want the other logical drive to be Drive D:

Can I assign a drive letter with the Array controller utility. Or must I use the disk management utility of the OS, which is Windows 2000 Server?

Hi,

you need to use Windows Disk Management. ACU does not assign logical letters for the OS.

ACU present logical drives to system such as independent phisical drives... Use Disk Managment (compmgmt.msc)
