HP XP 12000 and RAID 7+1

In previous versions of the XP, (2) ACP Pairs were required to perform RAID 7+1, is that still a requirement with the XP 12000. The XP 12000's ACPs have double the back-end loops, 8 loops to 4 loops like on the XP 1024, and they are 2Gbps versus 1Gpbs loops. Does anyone know this specifically to the number of pairs needed?

Re: HP XP 12000 and RAID 7+1

A single ACP can provide all available XP12000 RAID types. These are

RAID01 2D+2D and 4D+4D
RAID5 3D+1P and 7D+1P
RAID6 6D+2P

Also see 2 slides out of my XP12000 presentation.

Hi Peter,

Would it be possible to provide the entire presentation?

Thanks in advance!

Re: HP XP 12000 and RAID 7+1

The problem is the size of my presentation. In PowerPoint it is 14MB. The max size in this forum is 1MB.

Sorry

Thank you Peter. This information is much appreciated and answers my question exactly.
If there is a way to provide the full presentation, either on a website or emailed, let me know @ "email address deleted PM"

Paul
