How can I know the HP spare part number,
for example i have a disk in my hands, which has a cpn number, a gpn number, a dpn number .. what are all that? how can i know the part number to order it.

I suggest that you give them the regular part number or a description (capacity, RPM, model number) and let them figure it out. Spare part numbers can change over time and the label on the disk might be outdated.

CPN means Compaq Part Number, it's a Compaq OEM product.

DPN means Dell Part Number, it's a DeLL OEM product

GPN means Gateway Part Number ?
