HP2212FC Smart Array issue
I am trying to setup a HP 380 server with this HP2212FC modular smart array unit. I can't seem to make this unit be detected or showing in windows or in the HP utility software. I do see my two Fiber Channel cards in place, but will not detect the unit itself.
Windows does see the modular smart array unit in the device manager, but no where to be found in the HP Array Config Util. The lights on the FC card are blinking(amber light) and the MSA fiber port shows up being linked.
So I am kind of lost right now on what to do next? I think next would be the hp support.

Re: HP2212FC Smart Array issue
It may be necesary for you to attach to the MSA via the serial port, and set the host type on the connection for your server.
If the MSA has newer firmware, you can not "see" it with ACU unless your tell it that it's a Windows Box trying to access it.
There is also an ACU command line utility I believe, but I have never used it. Not sure if even that would work in this case.
