HSG80 Cashe Battery

Hi, I am new to the HSG80 storage. I am getting an

ERROR message

"Cache battery is near its end of life, it should be replaced SOON. Run frutil-
to replace SOON. Run frutil-
to replace.
Mirror cache battery is near its end of life, it should be replaced SOON. Run-
frutil to replace."

Yes, it does say wht to do. I have also gone through the manual but not able to find exact steps to follow. Can someone guide me step by step in brief what to do and if there is any link to the document.

Mnay Thanks Ryan

Re: HSG80 Cashe Battery

Hi Rachiel,
If you type RUN FRUTIL on the controller, this will ask you if you have replaced the battery. On the controller you should have leads going up either side with Y-shaped leads on connecting to the battery. One lead should be redundany. You should connect this to the new battery, then disconnect the other end of the Y-shaped lead from the old battery. Connect the other Y-shaped lead to the new battery and disconnect the lead from the old battery. Follow the prompts on the controller. This should clear the error by accepting the new battery. The old battery can be switched off by pressing the small switch off button for a few seconds.
