HSJ80 V8.5j-8 Controller not removing failed disk from Raidset
We are running HSJ80's V8.5j-8 controllers. We have had two instances in the last 3 years where the HSJ80 controller has not removed a failing disk drive from a raidset. We have a configuration with 3-4 drive HSJ80 raidsets that are configured as a Host based stripeset, ie, STdriver(STA0). The stripeset hangs till we manually failed the bad disk from the raidset. The last failure had the amber led lit on the disk drive so apparently the controller knew the disk was bad but didn't fail it out of the raidset.
Has anyone else seen this problem and do you know if there is a fix for it?
