Hard Drive Replacement
I have several servers with the 9.1 GB Wide Ultra 2 (new style) drives and hundreds of servers with the 18.2 GB (new style) drives.
My question is: can I replace a 9.1 GB drive with an 18.2 when a drive fails. I am not looking for more space and I realize that I will be wasting half the drive. I just have alot more 18.2 spares than I have 9.1's.

Re: Hard Drive Replacement
If all the drives are as you call them, new style, you can replace the 9.1G drives one at a time, waiting for each to complete the rebuild process. After you have replaced all the 9.1G drives, you can go back into the array configuration utility and create a new logical drive with the additional space.
