Help turn the lights on (Storage Works)
.
I installed a new rp3440 with a StorageWorks MSA 30 SB, and everything is working nicely now. Its just about to go into production, and the CEO stop by. I showed him the new box while we were talking, and he asked, why aren't the lights on the drive lit. The new server is tucked between two racks of DL380s with lights a blinking. The MSA drive lights blink on access, but are NOT on constantly. This seems a peaty complaint until you take into consideration the PR effect of the server room. It is infact a stop on the tour for new reps etc., and his complaint is valid. It "looks wrong".
Sooo... Can anyone turn the lights on?
Thanks
TBR

Re: Help turn the lights on (Storage Works)
Is the box connected to a "normal" scsi HBA or a smartarray controller?
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
