Does this notation provide information about the host group to whicjh this LUN belong ,or what does this thing denote .How can find to how many ports on array this LUN is attached .If have information like this ,how can I create storage allocation table and a plan or chart for new allocation ?
Any documents

Re: Host Group
Avamar,
I suspect this output came from something like xpinfo.
Does this notation provide information about the host group to whicjh this LUN belong - No, it is showing you the volume group and rdsk device. It tells you the its from a XP256, presented on channel path CL2J, and 02:26 denotes the physical LUN.
If you wish to know the host group you must interrogate the XP device, for the 256 I belive the software is called Remote Control. Your host machine's HBA WWN will be listed against a user defined host group on channel path CL2J.
Hopt this helps.
