How Can i change vdisk RAID Level from RAID5 to RAID1 in EVA4400?

Hi,

Can i change the RAID Level of a vdisk which is in use in microsoft windows 2003?

Actually i want to change the RAID level from RAID5 to RAID1 of an already in use Vdisk presented to windows 2003 server, from EVA4400.

Quick response will be appreciated

You can use BC and do a clone to another lun which has vraid1. Requires downtime on aplication/server and also reuires BC installed (60 days free license is included when you install command view).

We don't have any other way of doing it?

I mean without using BC.

at present eva dont support online migration of vdisk to another raid level. so the only option is doing it with Business Copy .

If downtime is not acceptable, you might wait until february.

I know they are working on online vraid migration (will require bc license) - and hopefully it will be in the february release.

I dont have the license for BC and all replies are suggesting that its only possible with BC license
