How can I determine my Smart Array controller type?
I have HP DL380 G3 server. According standart HP specification it must have Smart Array 5i Plus storage controller. But when I look at controller information in ACU I see the Smart Array 5i. So how can I determine my controller type? The problem is I need for BBWC option and I don't know should I by only BBWC Enabler or I need for another controller too.
By the way, can I install SA 6i controller into HP DL380 G3 server?
Thanks.

Re: How can I determine my Smart Array controller type?
the DL380 G3 has SA 5i plus integrated to the system board. You need only the BBWC Enabler Option (P/N:255514-B21).
You cannot install SA 6i into the server because it is an integrated controller as the name says. But you can install SA641, SA642 or SA6400 series controllers if you like it.
regards,
Akos
