How to Check status of disks via CommandView XP

How do you status of disks via CommandView XP? A disk was replaced recenly, and I would like to know the status of the drive. First time to use XP 1024 and CommandView XP. I've worked with Commandview EVA and looks very different.

Thanks,

Re: How to Check status of disks via CommandView XP

Hi,

CommandView XP looks very different to CommandView EVA because the XP is rebadged Hitachi/HDS storage array. CommandView XP is rebadged Hitachi software.

Also, the XP1024 is quite old now so Im going from memory but you cannot check the status of drives.

Sorry :-(

Re: How to Check status of disks via CommandView XP

You really cant see the status of disk`s from command view XP instead you can check the disk details :you can click the Performance button on the left hand side and then choose the Physical tab. From the physical tab click the Parity Group icon (do not select an individual Parity Group, just click the Parity Group icon).
On the right hand side this will now list the type of disk that each Parity Group is made up from.

E.g.
1-1 1(2D+2D) DKSD-K146FC

This tells you that Parity Group 1-1 is RAID 10 and is made up from Seagate 15K 146GB FC disks.

DKS = Seagate (DKR = Hitachi)
K146 = 146GB 15K (10K is shown as J146)
FC = FC
