We'd like to put some (inexpensive) third party disks into some of our L-class servers, but we don't have the fancy hot-swap disk brackets to bolt the disks to. Does anyone know if we can order the brackets by themselves from HP? IF not, is there a third party supplier of compatible brackets?
Yes you should be able to. After all the disk brackets themselve can jam and break. You should ask your sales rep. He'll sell you them! Make sure first that the disks will work there should be a disktab in etc.
Thanks Bill, but I think we tried that once before when we wanted to get some of the disk cases that go into HA units or AutoRaids. HP wouldn't sell the case without a disk inside. I'll try and see if they'll sell us just the holder/bracket/cadddy thingy out of an L series. I tried to find out what the part number was, but it was a sub-part of an FC10.
