I have to discover the existing configuration on a HP SureStore Virtual Array 7410. I would like to use the web interface for simplicity. I can connect to the web interface using http://hostname:4096/Launcher.html and "see" the VA7410, but when I try to drill down into the VA itself, I get challenged for a username and password. administrator/administrator does not work and the prior SA has left the company. Other than calling HP service, is there any way to reset the password?
TIA
TIA

Solution
Hi Doug,
You can follow this procedure.
Stop the dial deamon using
# HA_Dial_Stop
Make a copy of file "/sanmgr/commandview/server/data/UserDBFile"
Using an editor remove all data in the
/sanmgr/commandview/server/data/UserDBFile leaving a zero length file.
start the dial daemon using
# HA_Dial_Start
Now you can use the default username/
password as Administrator/administrator. Add
users as required, remembering to add a user to the Administrator group.
You will need to add at least one new user to the security database that is a member of the Administrators Group.
