Issues in Exchange DR using HP Storage Mirroing

Hi,
Im using SM 5.0 for making exchange 2000 srv DR setup.
I have made a replication set by selecting below folders:
C:\PF\EXCHSRVR\MDBDATA
C:\PF\EXCHSRVR\MTADATA
I have configured replication ON and transmission is limited by a window for 12 hours in the nights.
I am observing during the day that the queue replication size is increasing drastically as compared to size of folders selected.
Queue size 2.5 Gb, actual folder size incease is 600 Mb
Please give your comments why the queue is generating such a big size.
Am I following the correct method by selecting the folders in the replication set.
