LH3r Netraid disk expansion on the fly
I have an array of 5 disks that needs to be replaced by larger disks.
Is it possible to pull 1 disk, the insert a new larger disk, and continue untill the full array has been "updated" ?
Will the Raid acknowledge the larger capacity ?

Re: LH3r Netraid disk expansion on the fly
Sorry, but I don't think that will work.
You can certainly add the larger disks, one at a time, to an R5 array but the "excess" capacity will not be recognized or used. You could swap a 9GB drive in for a 4GB drive but anything over the original 4GB will be wasted.
Full backup to tape.
Install all new drives.
Reconfigure array.
Restore from tape.
