LX Pro - LVD SCSI Compatibility

I have one HP D4269A LX Pro 4 way server which we are trying to upgrade with an Adaptec 3400 Ultra160 RAID adapter and IBM DDYS 36GB Ultra160 HDD's. All I can get is Ultra SCSI recognition in the hot swap bays. I am supplying a LVD/SE terminator to the output on the drive cage (which from what I can gather should disable the back plane terminator). Should these cages support LVD Ultra160 drives?

Hi

the internal drive cage of the LX supports only FAST/ULTRA Single Ended SCSI.
It doesn't support the Low Voltage Differential at all .
