This is supposed to be "mandatory" as the previous firmware had some "issues".
Anyone know where the release notes are? And if CommandView needs to be upgraded as well? I am on CommandView 9.01

Better to go up to CV 9.1.
Hope this helps!

Re: Latest EVA 8400 XCS 09522000 - Anyone Upgraded yet?
Torsten.. thanks for the thread.
Our EVA 8400 16GB cache -- Full Config (27 enclosures?) -- is at XCS 09501100 -- which is the reported "Suspended" FW. We've some "issues". Were there not supposed to be customer warnings or notices sent out?
In your opinion -- should we do this upgrade? One FE says this is mandatory, another says it is not (yet).

Re: Latest EVA 8400 XCS 09522000 - Anyone Upgraded yet?
Yes, the information how urgent this is is not communicated very clear.
c01850026 - ADVISORY HP StorageWorks 4400/6400/8400 Enterprise Virtual Array XCS 09522000 released
""Customers running XCS 09520000 or 09521000 should move to this version at a convenient time.""
Anyway, as this is a pretty heavy update (requires full power cycle), you might want to talk to your service provider, because there is version 0953000(0) in the pipeline which is supposed to come with another new firmware version for the disk drive enclosure I/O modules. It is not clear how much impact that upgrade will have.
