MSA 1000 Configuration
Hi All,
We just acquired an MSA1000 to use as DR for our PROD
Is there a way to automatically copy the prod configuration of the MSA1000 to the DR?
Thank you

Re: MSA 1000 Configuration
DR = Data Replication?
If you use the older versions of ACU, 7.xx. You can capture the Productions configuration using ACU.
c:\program file\compaq\cpqacuxe\bin\cpqacuxe -c
It will create a .ini file. I think it was capt.ini or something like that. Too many years ago. Then you can edit it to your liking. If you are going to create an identical configuration on another system, you will have to edit the captured file to match the new host wwn or just remove it from the file.
Once you have that configuration file, you can use that file to create an identical configuraiton. using the cpqacuxe -i xxxxx.ini
ACU 8.xx dropped that feature.

Re: MSA 1000 Configuration
Unfortunately it is connected to an hpux system so we are using CLI.
Only configuration. Data will be mirrored using LVM on HPUX

Re: MSA 1000 Configuration
There was a CLi for HP-UX roo - HPACUCLI_PA_v7.47-1.
You can also use the CLI via serial line.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: MSA 1000 Configuration
Yes my question is:
what is the fastest way to copy the configuration in case of a DR?
Do we need to run each command or we can run a script?
Thanks
