MSA 1000 with HP-UX + ACL problem...
I am having a problem while setting up ACL in MSA 1000 with hp-ux. I created two LUNs in the MSA. I have two rp3440 servers connected to MSA via, 2/8 Embedded switch. Now both this LUNs are visible to both servers. But now I’m not able to set the ACL for these LUNs. I have doubt in my connection settings.
Show connections:
Connection Name:
Host WWNN = 50060B00-0300CD49
Host WWPN = 50060B00-0300CD48
Profile Name = default
Unit Offset = 0
Controller 1 Port 1 Status = Offline
Connection Name:
Host WWNN = 50060B00-0300CDCA
Host WWPN = 50060B00-0300CDCB
Profile Name = default
Unit Offset = 0
Controller 1 Port 1 Status = Offline
Connection Name: OraTest
Host WWNN = 50060B00-0300CD49
Host WWPN = 50060B00-0300CD48
Profile Name = hp
Unit Offset = 0
Connection Name: OraProd
Host WWNN = 50060B00-0300CDCA
Host WWPN = 50060B00-0300CDCB
Profile Name = hp
Unit Offset = 0
I added two connections using the server WWPN with profile hp. that is also indicated in the unknown connections. But still the unknown connections are still present.
When I set ACL using connection name- Oraprod & Oratest, it accepts. But now none of LUNs are not visible in HP-UX. Can anyone help me out in this regard.

Re: MSA 1000 with HP-UX + ACL problem...
Did you assign the units to those servers.
At the cli, issue the cmd
>show acl
This cmd will show if any units have been assigned to those servers.
