Can somebody tell me the CLI command for finding out my interconnect speed. What would also be great is a link to a complete reference guide to cli and the interconnect.

I've looked at the output of an MSA1500cs with version 7.00 firmware and that information was not visible. Maybe in 7.10 - maybe not.
Honestly, I think it is not that important, because it is either 1 GBit/sec or 2 GBit/sec. On a modern switch you should lock the speed at 2GBit to prevent wrong auto-negotiations.

yeah, I was just trying to verify that my MSA was set to 2GB.

I would think you should check what speed the switch port that the MSA is connected to, and if it's not the speed you "want" it to be, check that the SFP is the right speed.
