MSA 50 power supply keep on faulty

Hi All,

I do have a MSA 50 which connected to the Proliant Server DL380 (Redhat installed).

For the MSA 50, the power supply keep on faulty, after replace the power supply, midplane and backplane for the MSA 50, the MSA 50 still keep on showing the power supply faulty and got amber light. Is it a firmware issue? Thanks.

Hi,

We do have an MSA-50 and since we bought it last Dec. 2007, we have struggling with power supply going into failure every 3 months or so...We already have more than 10 replacements of these power supplies for our MSA-50.

Up until now, we don't have word yet from HP in regards to these defects...its high failure rate!

Our service provider have been pointing to our AC current, server room temp and so on...

Hope anyone can relate to these problems also.
