MSA Ports missing
I have an 2 old MSAs. I have no idea which version, its been here longer than i have worked here.
I am trying to use it as some bulk storage on 2 different dl380 g5. I have 2 similar setups in 2 different datacenters. i used the optional pci-x riser with a smart array 6400 controller. After connecting the storage i only see slots 1-5 and 8-15
6 and 7 are missing in both setups. anyone have any idea?
I have updated all firmware and drivers. i swapped out the drives with other working slots and no luck.
Vendor ID COMPAQ
Product ID PROLIANT 4LEE
Chassis Serial Number ZDJGLMPX3F
and the second setup is using
Vendor ID COMPAQ
Product ID PROLIANT 4LEE
Chassis Serial Number ZDJ1LMPX3F
Any ideas?

Re: MSA Ports missing
Hi,
SCSI IDs 6 and 7 are reserved for the Controllers.
These look like possibly MSA30 enclosures. Do they have single or dual port I/O modules?
You should have SCSI IDs 0-5 then 8-15 if single. See this link:
