MSA1000 ACU problems on SuSE 9 64 bit x86
I'm having a strange problem with and MSA1000 connected to a DL385G2 running SuSE 9, 64 bit.
The HBAs are the Qlogic based FC1142; the MSA1000 is directly connected to the HBAs, with no hub or switch. Controller firmware is version 4.48 (active/passive).
If I boot the ACU-XE cd, version 7.67, I'm able to configure the controller, RAID and logical drives without a problem.
However if I install ACU-XE on the OS, I'm unable to save the configuration. An error is returned to the browser that states:"The current array controller cannot be configured with this program. The controller did not respond correctly to configuration commands."
(See also attached screendump)
The ACU version that is installed is 7.70.12.0; the Qlogic drivers being used are those from the ACU-XE CD version 7.67.
Any ideas?

Re: MSA1000 ACU problems on SuSE 9 64 bit x86
Hi,
This could be due to the version of the Storage Agents installed on the server,
try to restart the storage agents,
/etc/init.d/cmastor restart,
Please look for newer or updated versions of Storage Agents on the HP Software and drivers page.
Thanks & Regards
Rajiv Kulkarni
