Re: MSA1000 fails to update performance monitor.
http://h30499.www3.hp.com/t5/Storage-Area-Networks-SAN/MSA1000-Disk-performance/td-p/4008479
start perf
show perf
stop perf
If you have a SAN switch in the MSA1000 (many come with a 2/8 Brocade SAN switch) - you could get details out of that too (port errors etc).

Re: MSA1000 fails to update performance monitor.
Thanks alot johan,
Just one more thing; i noticed that performance events are not logged in the event_log, if i do a "start perf" will they be logged? if so what are the thresholds and if not how can i do a long term performance monitoring on my system (lets say a week) without installing the HP-SIM or a similar monitoring tool?
(FYI: there is no SAN switch)

Re: MSA1000 fails to update performance monitor.
Hey, I have no hands-on knowledge about these commands so no idea about where they might be logged or not.
To monitor performance without tool perhaps you could make a script.
