yea, as soon as i posted that i saw a spec sheet out there somewhere (non HP) that said 160.

yes, marketing vs. real world...
Some years ago we tested a MSA1000 with around 30 spindles (10k) with RAID-5 as a backup2disk array with FC connection to a single Backup server.
we never got much more than 35MB/s
HP tested our setup too and said, they couldn't improve: it was designed for good perf with many hosts, not a single one. And the 200MB/s was marketing...
So, MSA1000 turned out to be not a proper system for our backup requirements (an EVA3000 did the job easily, by the way)
