MSA1000
Hi ,
I have installed an MSA1000 and connect it to an rp7XXX HP-UX 11.23 server ,
i have these questions:
- when i put show connection in the CLI of the MSA1000 it gives me no such command ??
- did i have to create LUN first the i can show the MSA1000 by the ioscan
- note that i connect directly the MSA1000 to the server (fiber connection) , is there any parameter i have to change on the MSA1000 so it could be seen by the server
thank you

Re: MSA1000
Hi,
You can't shorten the MSA CLI commands, so what you need to use is;
SHOW CONNECTIONS
The 's' on the end makes all the difference.
Can't help you with the HP-UX bits though, never used it.
Hope this helps,
Jeff

Re: MSA1000
Hi,
- Refer to these documents for CLI guide:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c00683579/c00683579.pdf
- You must create the LUN first, and then create the connections to the server
- For HPUX, you can can add the profile name while you are adding connection. But it is not mandatory, your server will still be able to see the disk even if it using default value
regards,
Sandy

I never think of the future. It comes soon enough.
