MSA20 Firmware-Update trough MSA1500

How can I update the firmware on a MSA20 wich is connected through a MSA1500 and fiberchannel to my server? Can I use the HP Firmware Maintenance CD?

Michael,

It depends what O/S the host connected is running. Windows is the easiest in my opinion. The MSA1500cs firmware updater for Windows will flash the MSA20 too.

Jeff,

thank you for your hints. I tried to update the MSA20 with the HP Firmware Update CD 5.210/1.52 offline. The MSA1500cs has now the new firmware, but the MSA20 has after three attempts its old fw-version 1.28. The updater said "updating MSA20 firmware", after reboot the MSA20 reports fw-version 1.28.

Do you have an idea?
