MSA2000 data lost on power failure, is it possible??
our SQL servers connect to MSA 2000fc in cluster. And all data is on the MSA2000fc.
there is no battery protected feature on msa2000fc controller.therefore, if the power failue occurs, then our data in cache will be lost???
msa2000fc, how to protect data on power failure??
thanks.

Re: MSA2000 data lost on power failure, is it possible??
to check this:
Go into the disk manager (if u're using windows), right-click on the disk(s) and select properties.
in the Criteria tab have you enabled the cache settings?
read the explanation there.
hope this helps.

Re: MSA2000 data lost on power failure, is it possible??
As a matter of fact i told you should check the Win Cache settings, because is the other setting tha can make data losses.
Whenever that was set correctly (windows cache disabled) I think you have to call HP for part substitution(or whatever they say), because your MSA is behaving bad.
HTH.
