MSA2040 direct fibre connection with Fibre Channel Pass-Thru Module
Hi,
is it possible to conect directly (without FC switch) HP MSA2040 storage and HP 4Gb Fibre Channel Pass-Thru Module for c-Class BladeSystem (i.e. HP BL 460c G8).
Thank you for your answers.
P.S. This thread has been moved from ProLiant Storage Systems to Disk Array. - Hp Forum Moderator

Re: MSA2040 direct fibre connection with Fibre Channel Pass-Thru Module
The controller supports both direct connect and fabric (switch)
attach.
However, even with 4 FC ports per controller you are able to connect 4 servers each with a redundant path to the array, not more! So you can connect 4 blades servers maximum via the pass-thru module.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
