MSA2312FC Host Ports?
We recently installed a dual controller MSA2312fc. On the older MSA2012fc units, there is an option called "host port interconnect" that allowed VDISKS owned by controller A to be accesible by controller B fiber ports. Does this option still exist? It seems to be enabled by default and I can find no way to turn it off.
I have a direct attached server with 2 dual port HBAs. Each HBA has a path to each controller. However, I'm not sure this is needed for true redundancy. I think I could get by with 2 single port HBAs with a single path to each controller. Thoughts??
