MSA2312fc Host Interface Problems
I have a couple of weird problems with them.
The first is I have set the host port interface to 4Gb and Point to Point for all 4 host ports. They show up on the port as 4Gb connected and also the fabric switches.
When I log out then back in the connection for A1 goes to 2Gb and loop but the port still shows as 4Gb and PtP?
Any Ideas?
The 2nd problem is the NTP settings.
I set them to point to out NTP server and the time is an hour behind. If I set the offset to 1 it just reverts back to 0?
Any ideas?

Re: MSA2312fc Host Interface Problems
About the NTP - Have you checked for firmware updates?
If you set it to -1 does it revert back then too?
Have you tried to set it via the CLI?
This port A1 that goes to 2Gb and Loop - what is connected to this port?
Server - does it have another FC-port? Maybe you could try installing it somewhere else.
Maybe the other end is faulty/wrongly configured? Can you still use the port when it goes down to 2Gb/loop? Any errors/events seen regarding this port?

Re: MSA2312fc Host Interface Problems
The fc is set at 4gb on the fabric switch but this is happening on 2 seperate 2312 units? The port shows it connected at 4gb on the 2312 too as per screenshot i attached to my original post. The fabric switch shows it is 4gb too?

Re: MSA2312fc Host Interface Problems
I have reportet that to HP L2 and L3, six months ago. When we had a case elevated.
It's very odd.
If you change the setting to point-to-point.
You exit the menu, and then go back.
It still say point-to-point.
If You close the browser. Open the browser and enter menu it say Loop.
If you check the CLI it say point-to-point.
I have chekked with EI and Firefox
Same issue.
if the CLI say point-to-point, then it has been set.
