Hello,
I was looking at purchasing a MSA70 and a supplier told me:
"The MSA70 is a JBOD draw of disk and all the RAID function will be in the Server via a Smart ARRAY adapter meaning if the server fails so does the storage."
Surely the MSA70 has the RAID function inboard and independent of the server?
Ciao

Solution
Yes. The MSA 70 is only an array. The RAID functionality is depend on the server/controller it is conected to.
