MetroCluster XP-CA horcm

When adding/testing addition of disks to ServiceGuard XP-CA, it appears that a data dangerous situation can occur.
A test environment "horcm9.conf" is often used to check the paired disks before adding them to the production environment "horcm0.conf". By making a few mistakes, the devices in the device groups can be controlled by more than one horcmd.
If the SERVICE, "DRMonitorXPCADevGrp" is enabled in the package configuration, the monitor will send information reflecting this to the log and/or mail, as configured.

Example horc0
Group PairVol(L/R) (Port#,TID,LU),Seq#,LDEV#.P/S,Status,Fence, % ,P-LDEV# M
PKG-CA vgSID01_000(L) (CL1-F , 0, 0)60424 1024..P-VOL PSUS NEVER , 100 1024 -
PKG-CA vgSID01_000(R) (CL1-F , 0, 0)60413 1024..S-VOL SSUS NEVER , 100 1024 -
PKG-CA vgSID01_001(L) (CL1-F , 0, 3)60424 1025..P-VOL PAIR NEVER , 100 1025 -
PKG-CA vgSID01_001(R) (CL1-F , 0, 3)60413 1025..S-VOL PAIR NEVER , 100 1025 -

example horc9
Group PairVol(L/R) (Port#,TID,LU),Seq#,LDEV#.P/S,Status,Fence, % ,P-LDEV# M
TMP vgSID01_000(L) (CL1-F , 0, 0)60424 1024..P-VOL PSUS NEVER , 100 1024 -
TMP vgSID01_000(R) (CL1-F , 0, 0)60413 1024..S-VOL SSUS NEVER , 100 1024 -

Question: Is there a way to "protect" device groups from another horcmd?

Re: MetroCluster XP-CA horcm

Well this is not really a SG issue, but more the actual horcm RAID software.
I believe there is a way to do this, but canot remember (long time since I looked at this software). Have you read through the horcm/XP/CA manuals at all?

Re: MetroCluster XP-CA horcm

Yes, I have read both manuals plus Designing Disaster ...
If the information for protecting devices groups is there, it is not clear enough for me to understand it.
