Migrating MA8000/SecurePath3 to EVA5000/MPIO WIN2000 (Just to help the community, not a question)

After long troubles, I would like to share my experience with this issue.

the operation was to migrate Win2000 servers from an MA8000 with SecurePath 3.0C to an EVA5000 with MPIO.

The steps to do that should be :
- removing olds FC cards (1 Gb in my case)
- uninstalling Securepath & HSG Plateform Kit
- installing new HBAs (to a other SAN in my case)
- installing EVA plateform Kit, & MPIO Basic Failover
- presenting new LUNS from the EVA.

Exept that when you do that (presentation) the Windows device Manager asks you four times (with 2 HBA) for an "Raidisk.sys" driver (From SecurePath).

If you cancel the request, you do not see the Lun comming up in disk manager, and no MPIO devices created in the eventlog.

If you locate the Raidisk.sys driver, you will get a nice blue screen on next reboot.

TO resolve this issue, search in C:\winnt\inf\OEMxx.inf the correct inf file talking about SecurePath disks. In that file you should find a line talking about something like ____HSV110__Disk_____

Delete that line and save the file, reboot the server and your MPIO volumes will come up.

Hope that could help
