Monitoring an EVA 4400 Array with HP SIM and SMI-S only?
Hi guys,
I thought I saw a document some time ago, wich described a way to monitor an EVA 4400 Array without installing the whole Command View on a server. It just needed the SMI-S provider installed and a connection to the WOCP could be established.
Is that true? Can I remotly monitor the EVA 4400 with just the WOCP and the SMI-S provider installed on a server? If thats the case, do you know the link to the document/whitepaper?
If it isn't true, the correct way would be a colplete installation of the Command View Software on a server with a Fibre Channel connection to the Eva, wouldn't it?
Thanks in advance.

Monitor EVA without Command view ?
ftp://ftp.compaq.com/pub/products/storageworks/smisproviders/EVA_8x.pdf
In the document => HP StorageWorks Command View EVA 8.x must be installed and managing the EVA that you want to monitor with HP SIM.
