Need help concerning horcm command devices listed in horcm.conf file
Hi all,
I changed HBA cards on my server from JNI to EMULEX which caused the device names to change. My horcm.conf file listed the devices c7txdx and c8txdx. The devices names have now change to c16txdx and c17txdx (alternate and primary). Now I am getting the following error in the logs when I try to start horcm:

Hi,
>20:59:06-579ca-04522- horcread():cannot open >command device:/dev/rdsk/c16t1d255s
a)it is probably because you have not changed the port wwn assignment in the XP and Solaris RAID Manager host is still mapped with the old HBA WWNs... Thus the RAID manager command device is not visible to the RAID manager host... And without the command device the RAID manager cannot operate...
b)if you use the SAN switches port zoning, then this is not an issue, but if you use the wwn zoning, the aliases should be reassigned too...

the pain is one part of the reality
