NetRaid 4m Critical drives and degraded performace.

NetRaid 4m Critical drives and degraded performace.

Have had two LT6000r with a 4m and an RS/12 giving me the same issue in the past couple days. Both have a 4m, rs/12 with the first 8 drives in a raid 5 and the last 4 made up of 2 mirrors.

We never saw an error or anything in windows or top tools, customers started to complain about slow SQL servers.

Went in and looked at the FAST and all the drives are in a critical state. Saw a message about degraded performance. It says all drives in the RS/12 are critical. They still work, just slow, SQL starts and customers are running.

But how do I get my drives back from the critical state without losing my data? Is there a rebuild I can set off that will not initialize the drives and clear this up without data loss?

Thanks
Tim

TIm,

COuld you create a logfile of the 4M by running the GETCFG.AFA script from your FAST directory?
Post the LOG file on the web and I'll have a look at it.

Marco.
